You are NOT required to file a tax return if your income for the tax year is not above the R500 000 threshold and if you meet the following requirements:
Your remuneration is paid from one employer(single source);
You have no car or travel allowance, a company car fringe benefit, this is considered additional income;
Your employees tax (PAYE) has been deducted/withheld;
You did not earn any otheradditional income such as rentals, dividends, etc;
You don’t earn interest exceeding applicable thresholds (R 23 800 p.a for natural persons under 65 years, R 34 500 p.a for persons over 65 years of age); and
No other deductions to claim from SARS
