How to access my Tax Clearance Certificate

A tax clearance certificate (TCC) is a document issued by SARS confirming that the taxpayers tax affairs are in order

These certificates are required for tender applications, to reflect “good standing”, for foreign investment, and for emigration purposes

STEP ONE:
Log in to Efiling

STEP TWO:
Refer to the top tabs on the Efiling home page
Click on 'tax status'

STEP THREE:
On the left, you will click 'tax compliance status'

STEP FOUR:
You will then proceed and click 'Activation' and the 'continue' button

STEP FIVE:
You will now be able to finalize the request

A colour-coded profile will appear to indicate whether you are tax compliant or not.

• Red – Your tax affairs are not in order and you are not tax compliant
• Green – Your tax affairs are in order and you are tax compliant

You are able to select on the ‘red’ items on your Tax compliance page and it will identify your areas of non-compliance in order to rectify this.
